Deirdre & Stuart's Gweedore Wedding

'Are you Eddie Crawford's son?' was aimed my way on my first introduction to the bride's father on the morning of Deirdre and Stuart's wedding, this was great as the guard drops and the welcome into the house is made that bit easier when you're not a stranger to the area. Doing photos in Middle Dore brought back some great memories for me as when we were children our auntie Breid used to take us to her parent in law's house the Mc Coles where we would be treated to free sweets from their famous mobile shop, good times!!

I've been so looking forward to doing this wedding as it seems to have been on the books for so long seeing Deirdre was the first bride to book me for 2021. No matter what the weather is like in that direction it's very hard to go wrong on a wedding day as the area has so much to offer. After a good bit of craic in the house as the girls got ready the couple got married in front of family and friends in a beautiful ceremony celebrated by Fr Brian Ó Fearraigh in Dunlewey Chapel. We headed for the old chapel down by the Poison Glen for the location shoot and after a quick trip to visit Deirdre's grandparent's grave the couple celebrated in style at the amazing Caisleáin Óir Hotel Annagry.
