Donegal Country House Wedding || Suzanne & Terence || Castle Grove

We've experienced some really unpredictable weather so far this year but it could not have been any better for Suzanne & Terence as they chose to have an outdoor wedding at the Castle Grove one of Donegal's most famous Country House wedding venues.

When I arrived Terence and the lads were getting things set up outside while Irene from the Castle Grove was making sure the sound system was perfect for a surprise guest singer who would be making an appearance during the ceremony unbeknown to bride Suzanne.

Suzanne was upstairs getting the finishing touches done to her hair and make-up by the girls from Avante Hair and it wouldn't be long before her bridal party would be helping her into her stunning dress from the White Gallery.

Being a Donegal wedding photographer I love working with vendors I know and it was great to be teamed back up with Simon Gillespie who was videographer for the day.

One of the things that stood out on the day for me was Suzanne's father Seamus singing as her mother walked her down the aisle to begin a beautiful ceremony celebrated by Sheila Garrity.

During the service the couple exchanged rings and chose the sand pouring ceremony where they had sand from their home beaches in Inishowen and Gweedore.

I've witnessed a lot of emotions during the Donegal weddings I've had the honour of capturing but the look of absolute shock and delight on Suzanne's face when the one and only Daniel O'Donnell accompanied by his wife Majella were introduced to sing the next song was absolutely priceless, such a stand out moment!!!!

Once the ceremony and family pictures were complete, myself, Simon and the newlyweds took a walk inside the grounds of the Castle Grove to get some portraits before returning to the reception where with their guests celebrated into the night with DJ Oisin Cannon and Pat Gallagher from the world famous Goats Don't Shave band.
