Gortahork wedding || Geraldine & Tomás || Óstán Loch Altan
Geraldine & Tomás chose Óstán Loch Altan as the venue for their recent Gortahork wedding. While Tomás spent the morning at the hotel Geraldine got ready at the couple's home in Letterkenny in the company of her parents, bridal party and young daughter Saoirse.
When I arrived Grace and Joanna from G&G were putting the finishing touches to the girl's hair and make-up.
It wasn't long before Geraldine was ready in her stunning dress from Pearls & Lace Donegal Town and the reaction on everyone's faces as she came down the stairs was a great sign of approval.
Once finished up at the house I headed onto Christ the King Church Gortahork where the couple were to get married. Before the girls arrived in their luxury transport supplied by Gerard McGirr I got a few photos with Tomás and his groomsmen looking sharp in their suits from McElhinney's before we all headed into a beautifully decorated church by the talented Lisa from I DO Wow Decor to await Geraldine's arrival.
After a beautiful ceremony celebrated by Fr Seán Ó Gallachóir and accompanied by the amazing voice of Sinéad Black who also sang at the drinks reception we got family photos at the alter before heading to the Poison Glen for the location shoot.
Being a Donegal wedding photographer with strong family links to West Donegal I absolutely love being able to show off it's beauty in the images I create and this is so easy to do around the Dunlewey area.
Geraldine a native of Tory Island asked if it would be possible to get a photo with the island in the background so after the shoot at the old Chapel myself, the couple and Kerry Doherty who was videographer for the day took a quick trip over to the viewing bay at Magheraroarty to carry out her wishes.
A guard of honour from the wedding party and staff of the Óstán Loch Altan welcomed the newlyweds and from there it was high paced partying into the wee hours with the best of music being blasted out by Keltic Knights.
